1st STEP PREP Exterior Hardwood Finish Preparation

Penofin 1st STEP PREP for exterior hardwood is formulated to open the wood fibers of the surface and to ensure deep penetration of Penofin’s amazing natural hardwood finish. 1st Step Prep cleans, brightens, and eliminates the hard mill glaze found on most hardwoods. This allows Penofin to penetrate deeply into the dense wood species for ultimate protection and beauty.

Penofin Pro-Tech Stripper (Step #1)


Specially developed to effectively remove oil and latex finishes on all exterior wood, composite or concrete surfaces using New Clean Strip Technology. Pro-Tech Stripper leaves little or no residue, will not raise grain and provides double the coverage of average strippers. This product is ready to use, 100% Biodegradable, nonflammable and CERTIFIED NO VOCs. Pro-Tech Stripper is the first step in preparing your wood for a beautiful Penofin application.



Penofin Pro-Tech Cleaner (Step #2)

The best outdoor cleaner for just about everything, this unique formula uses Super Hydrogen Power to tackle almost any cleaning job around your home. Mix these concentrated granules in varying strengths to effectively remove grease, grime, dirt, organic stains, tree sap and mineral deposits. Kills mold and mildew. For use on wood, masonry, concrete, fiber cement, fiberglass, outdoor furniture, cushions and floor coverings, glass and tile. This container contains enough Penofin Pro-Tech Cleaner to produce 16 gallons. of Hydrogen Power. This product is biodegradable, nonflammable and contains no VOCs.


Penofin Pro-Tech Brightener (Step #3)

Eliminates tough tannin stains and watermarks on all types of wood decking siding and fences; removes mill glaze. Penofin Pro-Tech Brightener reestablishes the Ph balance of your wood after stripping and cleaning and brightens gray weathered wood to bring back that mill-bright color. This package contains enough Penofin Pro-Tech Brightener to make 16 gallons of brightening solution. This product is biodegradable, nonflammable and contains no VOCs.

Original Blue Label Oil Wood Finish

Penofin penetrating oil wood finish is formulated to enhance and protect the natural beauty of any variety of wood. Use Penofin oil wood finish on any exterior wood surface where a transparent finish with ultraviolet protection is needed.



  • Brazilian Rosewood Oil penetrates deeply to protect against moisture.


  • Hardens and protects individual wood fibers.


  • Transoxide pigments virtually eliminate the fading due to sunlight.


  • Penofin won't fade, turn chalky, or wash off.


  • No surface film to trap moisture or cause chipping and peeling.


  • Wide range of transparent and semitransparent colors.

Blue Label Oil Wood Finish is available in ten colors.


Gallon Coverage

Smooth surfaces: 200-300 square feet. Rough surfaces: 125-175
square feet (a gallon) for both coats of Oil Wood Finish.

Product Performance

Expect 2-4 years on vertical surfaces, 9-18 months on horizontal
surfaces depending on use and weather exposure.



Ultra Premium Red Label Wood Finish


Ultra Premium Red Label Wood Finish is formulated for all wood species.



  • 99% ultraviolet protection via transoxide pigments.
  • Added high-grade mildewcide.
  • Great for decks, siding, fences, gazebos, outdoor furniture, boats, docks, or any wood structure in a harsh weather environment.
  • Never any sanding or stripping required!
Ultra Premium Red Label Wood Finishes are available in 10 transparent tones.




Penofin Marine Oil Finish

Penofin Marine Oil Finish is used for boats, docks, marinas, or wherever wood is exposed to harsh conditions. Good for all wood species. COVERAGE: 200-300 square feet. NOTE: Expect 3-5 years on vertical surfaces, 1-2 years on horizontal surfaces depending on use and weather exposure.



Pressure-Treated Wood Finish

Penofin finish for pressure-treated wood is formulated for all types of pressure-treated wood. Pressure-Treated Wood Finish is available in three tones: Rainier (golden honey), Tahoe (rich cinnamon), and Yosemite (warm dark brown). COVERAGE: 200-250 square feet of Pressure-Treated Wood Finish. NOTE: Expect 3-5 years on vertical surfaces, 1-2 years on horizontal surfaces depending on use and weather exposure.
